The Fund for Berks County provides grants that address the most pressing needs in Berks County as they arise and change over time. Grants are distributed at the discretion of the Community Foundation’s board of directors.

Fund for Berks County
This fund provides grants that improve the quality of life for the residents of Berks County.
Albany Township Tomorrow Fund
This fund supports community-minded organizations and initiatives that benefit the residents of Albany Township in Berks County.
BISA Attendance Improvement Fund
This fund will support initiatives at Berks County's public schools that improve attendance.
Building Industries Exchange of Reading and Berks County Fund
To support individuals pursuing education or training that will qualify them for careers in the construction or design trade, including need-based assistance for such things as, but not limited to, educational funding or financial assistance to acquire such things as tools or clothing required for apprenticeship programs. To support the construction or renovation of facilities owned by or for charitable organizations in Berks County.
Dental Treatment Fund
This fund provides grants for dental treatment for Berks or Schuylkill county residents who are otherwise unable to pay for care.
Friends of Berks County Public Libraries Fund
This fund awards grants to Berks County public libraries for emergency needs and special projects.
Gilmore | Henne Community Fund
This fund supports recreational programs, maintenance and improvements at parks in Berks County.
GRIP Dreamer Scholarship Fund
This fund will provide college scholarships to students who are not eligible for Federal and/or Pennsylvania financial aid or is/are otherwise ineligible for financial aid.
Innovation Fund
The Innovation Fund provides grants to projects focused on improving environmental health and climate resiliency in Berks County. Projects that include collaboration across sectors and/or opportunities for partnership building will be prioritized.
Penny Jar Fund
This fund provides non-tuition related assistance to students enrolled in college who encounter an unexpected financial crisis.
Pets in Need Fund
This fund provides veterinary care to animals in life-threatening situations.
